Power, sex, ambition, greed.... It's just another day at the office at the World Wide Wicket Company. But how does an ambitious young woman get ahead...?
This is the story of J. Pierpont Finch, a window washer with the how-to book in hand - "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." Following its instructions she moves her way up the World Wide Wicket corporate ladder. A young woman cast in the role of Finch, aka Ponty, follows her comic path in this satire of big business and all it holds sacred.
Maintaining the original script, we see that some differences in expected casting maintains not only the original comedy in this well-written piece but allows for illumination of other aspects of its satire of corporate power and gender arrangements in this wonderful comic musical. And oh those great songs....
Brooklyn Players Community Musical Theater invites you for this irreverent and tuneful romp, jam-packed with sly, swift and sharp dialogue, rousing dance and great songs you will be humming as you leave the theater.
